I went on holiday last August and after 2 weeks of fish and chips and bacon butties I came home to the resolution to shift some weight. I was fed up of none of my old clothes fitting, being the fat one when out with the lasses and always trying to buy outfits to disguise my weight. I dont think it helps having the stick thin image shoved in my face everytime i watch tv or read a magazine either. I agonised for ages about buying a Wii - a Wii fit, mostly to do with the cost, but after trying one out in a shop and seeing my weight on a screen I took the plunge. I love it, think its great. Exercises on it are great and there is the facility to weight yourself, although despite what it advises you, it advises you to weigh yourself everyday, I only weigh myself once or twice a week as it makes you paranoid. There are games too that are energetic and I think they will go along way to keeping you active too. It is gentle exersize though so didnt expect too much too soon.
I personally think that that is mad. Its great weight loss and well done Hannah Waterman but its mad. She will have cut out all carbs, alcohol, restricted herself to under 1000 calories a day and probably did around 2 hours of exercise a day to loose it so quickly. To maintain that she probably needs to read how Victoria Beckham maintains hers - 800 calories a day and an hours run or in perspective, a sandwich, a mars bar and a bag of crisps to us and a 3/4 mile walk a day! I cant see that doing anyone any good in the long term!
Last April Hannah was approached by Universal Pictures UK to do a fitness DVD.
The format had worked for other former EastEnders Natalie Cassidy and Letitia Dean and was a good business opportunity, as well as a way for Hannah to lose some weigh
And the DVD – Hannah Waterman’s Body Blitz – has, in many respects, proved a resounding success. She went from a size 16 to a six in five months

This is my so far shot as it shows my weight loss so far. I am ideally wanting to loose another 12 pounds. I know its a little difficult to tell as its not a full shot like the other one, but i am here 2 stone lighter weighting about 11 stone 6 and it shows on my shoulders and waist here.
This is me as the ‘before’ shot. I know I am not fat, well not obese fat, but definately over weight, probably weighing in at about 13 and a half stone here. My ideal is meant to be 10 and a half.
I got rid of this blog sometime ago as it turned out to be a bit of a waste of time and learnt to keep my thoughts to myself where some were concerned just to keep the peace. But just recently over the last few months I decided to do something regarding my whole body image, got fed up of carrying excess baby weight and decided to knuckle down (not too scrict however) and loose that excess weight. Over the last few days I have been looking in magazines and as its new year of course we are innundated with fitness and diet dvd’s on how to loose 2 stones in 2 weeks (maybe slight exaggeration) and thought about really what a waste of time and money they really are i.e Natalie Cassidy (google maybe of help if u dont remember the big Jackson girl in eastenders) and about writing down on this blog how to loose weight as a normal working mum a way to loose it gradually so that it stays off, mostly for a future reference for myself if I ever god forbid allow myself to creep the weight back on or if heavens forbid for my husband I end up with another pregnancy to endure.
